Why Choose Us
Easy ordering process, quality products, and dedicated support for your business success.
As a premier wholesale supplier of apiculture equipment, HONESTBEE is proud to introduce our improved No Grafting Queen Rearing Kit. Specifically engineered for commercial apiaries and bee supply distributors, this system revolutionizes the traditional, labor-intensive process of queen production. Designed to fit standard Langstroth hives (483*230mm), this kit offers a professional, durable, and highly efficient solution for both high-quality Queen Rearing and large-scale Royal Jelly production.

The Evolution of Queen Rearing: Why Choose the No Grafting Method?
Traditional Queen Rearing requires "grafting"—the delicate manual transfer of tiny larvae using a needle. This process is time-consuming, requires excellent eyesight and steady hands, and carries a high risk of damaging the larvae.

The HONESTBEE No Grafting system eliminates these challenges. By allowing the queen to lay eggs directly into the cell cups, we ensure:
- Zero Larval Damage: Larvae are never touched by human tools, ensuring 100% health and vitality.
- Higher Acceptance Rates: Because the larvae remain in their original biological environment, the worker bees accept them more readily.
- Efficiency for Professionals: One operator can manage hundreds of cells in a fraction of the time required for manual grafting.
- Beginner-Friendly: Even novice beekeepers can produce high-quality queens with a professional success rate from their very first attempt.

Detailed Component Breakdown and Functionality
Each component in this kit is manufactured from high-grade, food-safe, and UV-resistant polymers to ensure professional durability in the field.
- Wax-Coated Queen Rearing Frame: The foundation of the system. The high-quality wax coating ensures immediate acceptance by the bees, encouraging the queen to lay eggs without hesitation.

- Queen Controller (Excluder): This specialized cage snaps onto the frame to confine the queen to the egg-laying area, ensuring all eggs are concentrated within the cell strips.
- Cell Bar Strips: Each black plastic strip holds 32 white, removable cell cups. When placed in the Queen Rearing Frame, the queen lays eggs directly into these cups.

20*Cell Bar Strips

- Cell Bar Holder Frames: These plastic frames designed to securely hold the Cell Bar Strips. Once the eggs hatch, the strips are easily moved to the Holder Frames for distribution into "cell builder" colonies.
- Royal Jelly Bar Strips: Specifically designed for Royal Jelly production, these strips feature optimal depth and width to maximize the secretion of jelly by nurse bees.

- Queen Protector Cages: Precision-fit cages that slide over the queen cells before they hatch, preventing the first emerging queen from killing her rivals—essential for multi-queen production.
Detailed Steps for Queen Rearing (The "No-Touch" Method)
This method ensures you never have to touch a larva with a tool, which drastically improves the health and survival rate of your new queens.
Step 1: Making the Bees "Accept" the Frame
Bees can sometimes be picky about plastic. Our frame is Wax-Coated, but here is a pro-tip for beginners:
- Place the Queen Rearing Frame (without the queen or the excluder) into your hive for 24–48 hours.
- Optional: Spray it lightly with sugar water. The bees will clean it and coat it with their own scent, making the plastic feel like a natural part of the hive.

Step 2: The "Laying" Phase (Confining the Queen)
- Find the queen in your breeder colony. Gently place her onto the face of the rearing frame and slide the Queen Controller (Excluder) over the front.
- The queen is now confined to the frame. Because she has nowhere else to go, she will lay an egg in each of the cell cups.
- Leave her there for 24 hours( 48 hours if it's the first time), then release her back into the main hive.

Step 3: The Incubation (Waiting for Hatching)
- Keep the frame in the hive for 3 more days.
- During this time, the eggs will develop and hatch into tiny, C-shaped larvae. Because they are already inside the cups, they are perfectly positioned for the next step.

Step 4: The Transfer (The "No Grafting" Advantage)
- Take the frame out of the hive. Flip it over to the back.
- You will see the Cell Bar Strips (the black rails holding the white cups). Simply pull the strips out.
- Each strip now contains larvae that are exactly the same age, sitting in their original pool of royal jelly. You have successfully "grafted" all of cells without using a needle!

Step 5: The Nursery (Building the Cells)
- Snap the Cell Bar Strips into the Cell Bar Holder Frames.
- Place these holder frames into a "Cell Builder" hive (a very strong, well-fed hive that is either queenless or has the queen separated).
- The nurse bees will immediately begin feeding these larvae and building long, peanut-shaped wax cells around them.

Step 6: Security (Using the Protector Cages)
- On Day 10 after the queen laid the eggs, the cells will be capped and almost ready to hatch.
- Slide the Queen Protector Cages over each individual cell.
- Why? The first queen to hatch will instinctively try to kill all her "sisters" who haven't hatched yet. The cages keep every queen safe so you can harvest 100% of them for your mating nucs or for sale.

Detailed Steps for Royal Jelly Production
Producing Royal Jelly uses the same equipment but follows a different timeline focused on nutrition rather than hatching.
- Follow Steps 1–4 above: Use the main rearing frame to get a large batch of fresh larvae.
- Use the Royal Jelly Strips: Instead of the individual white cups, use the Royal Jelly Bar Strips. These are designed for easy cleaning and high-volume jelly storage.
- The Feeding Frenzy: Place the strips into a strong, queenless "starter" hive. Because the hive has no queen, the bees will panic and try to turn every larva into a queen by flooding the cups with massive amounts of Royal Jelly.
- The 72-Hour Harvest: After exactly 3 days (72 hours), remove the strips. At this point, the jelly concentration is at its peak.
- Extraction: Remove the larvae with a small pair of tweezers (they have done their job of stimulating the bees to produce jelly) and use a spatula to collect the fresh, pure Royal Jelly from the cups.

Why This Kit is the Best Choice for Your Business
- For Beginners: It removes the #1 cause of failure: damaging larvae during grafting. If you can move a plastic strip, you can breed a queen.
- For Commercial Farms: It saves hours of labor. One person can "graft" hundreds of cells in minutes just by swapping the pre-loaded strips.
- Professional Quality: The durable, food-grade plastic is easy to clean and sanitize, ensuring a disease-free Queen Rearing environment.
