- They create distinct channels, which can make it more difficult for bees to find their way back.
- Perimeter Exit Notches: The outer edge of the bee escape is designed with multiple strategically placed notches or cutouts. These are the one-way exits. Bees can easily pass through these from the super side, but the design makes re-entry from the brood chamber side difficult.
- Mounting Holes: Several small, pre-drilled holes are located near the periphery, between the radiating ridges. These allow for easy and secure attachment of the bee escape to an inner cover, crown board, or a dedicated clearer board using screws or small nails.
